The price you are quoted is the price you plan around. No vague phone number that changes after the truck is loaded.
A move inside the Triangle is billed by how big the crew is and how long the job takes, plus a small travel fee. Home size, how much you are moving, and access (stairs, elevators, long carries) are what move the number. We give you an honest estimate up front so there is no surprise at the end.
A corridor move is priced on how much you are moving and how far it is going, not by the hour. Packing level, stairs or elevators on either end, specialty items, and your dates factor in. You get a real written estimate after a quick walkthrough, so the number you are quoted is the number you plan around.
The written estimate is the real number. For interstate moves the law requires a written estimate after a survey, and we follow it. We do a quick virtual or in-home walkthrough, see what is actually moving, and put the number in writing. No vague phone quote that jumps on move day.

Yes, unless you booked a full-service packing move where we bring the materials and pack you. Anything you pack yourself is "packed by owner." If we did not pack a box, we cannot tell you what is inside it or where a loose item ended up later, so please have everything boxed and sealed before we arrive.
Pack your jewelry yourself. You do not even need to label the box. Wrap pictures and artwork. This is about keeping your valuables safe and keeping liability low for everyone. Our crew is honest, but the right move is for you to keep your valuables with you.
Please put dogs and cats away in a separate room or a crate. It keeps them safe, keeps them from slipping out the door, and keeps the crew moving safely.
Because photos or "I have a two-bedroom" do not tell us enough to be accurate. We need to know the access (stairs, narrow staircases, low ceilings, how far we have to carry) and the actual items (bed size, dresser size, type of couch, TVs). The more detail you give, the more accurate your estimate, and the smoother your move goes.
We aim for no claims and no damage to walls, ceilings, or floors. Normal dirt or scuff marks wipe right off with a magic eraser. On insurance: standard moving valuation pays out at depreciated or like-for-like value, not what you originally paid, so it is worth understanding that before you rely on it.
Use sticky labels on both ends of the move. Mark each box (master bedroom, bedroom 2, kitchen) before we load, and we will place them in the right room when we unload. It makes the whole move flawless.
